Membranes Stripped

Hi all! Baby #4 for me :) I am 39 weeks and doc stripped my membranes yesterday... Hurt like crazy but just curious if any of you have had experience with it? They did the same with my others as I was past the due date for 2 of my other 3 and it offered no help.... Hoping for a different outcome this time!

I had it done with my first at 39 weeks. It hurt a lot but im glad it was done. I had it done friday evening and my doc told me to go home and have sex as sperm makes you dilate. So i did just that although uncomfortable and I went into labor saturday morning! Baby girl came 3 days earlier than due date

I hade it done with my first pregnancy at 38 weeks it didn't work for me just made me sore my friend had it done around the same time and it worked for her

Never had it done. I'm 39 week's will be 40 on Saturday. Virginia said they will make you go 41 weeks if you can go. Are the doctors allowed to do that. And the baby is healthy.

I had it done before, and it hurt really bad and it didn't help. My doctor told me to go home and do an enema, I went into labor a few hours after I did it.

Oh really? I never heard of that, but will have to give it a shot! At this point, I am ready lol
