More like i need well wishes and any info

I rent a home in Illinois . last night my basement flooded completely. I lost everything except my daughters bike and my kids clothe causebthey were up stairs. I don't have any clothes salvaged except a few leggings and a few shirts. the water is contaminated so all my wet clothes are trash . I have only lived here for twenty days and most of my things were still in boxes . now I smell the smells of dampness and wet boxes and basement which gives me a severe headache. the landlord says she will tell me when the plummer will come . I need to know if its even OK for a pregnant woman to do the clean up in a basement with sewage water damage as far as cleaning /disguarding my belongings. I'm so hurt and stressed I have no renters insurance yet. I just don't know what to do. Any ideas or prayers I would love to have. Thank you.

If your landlord had insurance then this should cover the fact that you are unable top stay in the house. I love in the UK so our policies will no doubt be different,  but a landlord holds the buildings side of insurance and the tenants the contents.

You should look into whether or not landlords insurance will cover anything for you like a hotel, and laws in your area about recourse swing as how it hasn't even been a month. Also places like easter seal can help.

Thank you I will contact the rest cross to see if the can help me to get rid on these items that need to be disposal. I'm really thinking of moving to Texas since I have to start over anyway.

Stupid thing cut me off..You can get sick and so can the baby. Our house basement flooded when we first moved into back in may and I wasn't allowed to touch anything. I had to take our daughter to a hotel because of how bad it was.
Usually shelters or red Cross can point you in the direction of getting clothing and belongings. It's a terrible thing to have happen, I'm truly sorry. I hope that helps.
