Problems gaining weight
Is anyone else having problems gaining weight? I and 6 1/2 months pregnant and have only gained 7 pounds, which I don't understand I eat 3 meals a day and plus snacks in between each. Not quite sure why I'm not gaining very much, anyone else experiencing this?

Same here. 32 weeks and gained only 10 pounds. I'm very petite though - 5"1 and 100 pounds- prepregnancy . Also gained only 20 pounds with my first!
I just try to keep my meals and snacks healthy. Whole grains, peanuts, adding half an avocado to at least one meal but when I crave for candy I indulge fully:)
As long as your healthy and sticking to the regular and highly nutritious meals you & baby should be ok.
All the best:)

Yeah I do my best some times I gave to greasy foods but I mainly have 3 at least 3 course meals a day plus any snacking I do,i was the same with my first two(my son's) but I ate less and gained more, this one is my girl. I was actually curious as to back before my babies if my eating disorder made it that's cant gain properly. But thank you it's nice to know I'm not the only one frutrated with this alot of people tell me to be happy about it but it's hard when ibdont know if babe will come out healthy.:):) also smal prepregnancy 119 heaviest.

I'm 37 weeks and have only gained 15 pounds. My OB said my weight gain is fantastic. As long as baby is gaining weight and healthy I wouldn't worry.

10 lbs is the supposed amount you are to be gaining. No one takes into account the body. Some women gain 20.. I've gained 35lbs, eat healthy and work all the time.. my first pregnancy I gained 30 lbs the whole pregnancy and after the hospital I weighed less than when I first got pregnant.. every female is different.

If you feel you aren't gaining the right amount ask your doctor what you should do

If you are eating healthy and baby is healthy, everything should be fine. Baby gains weight faster at the end, so you might see a bit more from here on out. If you're concerned, ask your doctor.

Had my check up with my doctor, and all he did when I mentioned I was curious as to if that way normal he just kinda nodded and shrugged it of and said yeah, my doctor is also a obgyn so I do trust his word. He said with my last one it's likely I will always carry small babies because both me and their daddy are small built. So sounds like things r fine but will definitely check back in if it doesn't increase over the next few weeks.:) thanks ladies for your input:)

I'm having the same problem. I'm 21 weeks and down a pound from my prepregnancy weight. I'm 5"1' and weighed about 150 starting, so I could stand to lose some weight. I'm also just built very big breasted and thick hipped. Lol
My doctor wants me to start gaining though..

I am 37 weeks and have gained 14 lbs. (4 lbs was in the last couple of weeks.) This is my 3rd pregnancy and I gained 15 lbs for both of my previous pregnancies. Both of my kids weighed almost 7 lbs and were perfectly healthy. Because I ate healthy unprocessed foods and didn't gain a lot, I immediately lost all of the baby weight and was able to get my normal body back within a month-(minus the squishy dough textured belly- lol!) after my uterus and belly skin retracted back to normal, (a few months later) I felt great!  Everyone's body is different. As long as you are eating enough healthy foods, you and your baby will be fine:)
