RH- factor

I have the Rh- factor and have to get the shot in 3 weeks. I have heard it really hurts. Has anyone else had this shot?

I got it in my butt check when pregnant with My daughter. I haven't gotten it yet this time. But it's not all that bad.

If you both have negative blood type then you don't need the shot. But if you can't prove the dad's negative blood type then they'll give it to you anyway.

Thank you all. I have O- blood and the father has O- blood I believe. So hopefully I only have to get it once. Shots don't really bother me but this is my first child and a lot of people have told me it hurts worse than a tetanus shot.

I got mine in the hip. It feels like any other needle. Its not bad. You will probably have to get one after birth too.

I also have had the shot with all 3 of my kids.  It does sting but not too bad.  Your arm will be sore for a day or 2 afterward (like someone punched you) I have o- and all of my kids have negative blood too so I never had to get the shot after birth.   (You only have to have it after if your baby has positive blood)

I had it and it was my first shot given in my butt muscle. I remember being shocked how much it stung. But not so much that I dread getting it again. You'll probably be expecting it to be worse than it actually is. :)
