Sedona shower?

Is it that weird that I'm having a second shower? Me and my mom weren't speaking with my first for stupid reasons and she wants to throw me a second shower. I told everyone including my husband's family that I didn't think I wanted to if I had another boy and they all said oh you need to because you don't have anything...seeong as there is a five year difference. Well he told me the other day joking around that they all don't get why I'm having a shower and why am I having one. Like wth. Now I feel uncomfortable. I already went out and made adorable invites that we just printed out. Is anyone else having a second shower??..

I had a small second baby shower coz I was having a girl for my second after having a boy for the first... I asked people to bring something girly (new or second hand) or a frozen meal :)

Thanks. I know! With the age difference we really have nothing but some clothes and I was really excited to be able to celebrate with everyone.

I had moved out of state, away from any family when I was pregnant with my first so I didn't get a baby shower. We moved back by the time I got pregnant with my second so my family threw me one, and I'm newly pregnant with my third and there is already talk of another shower. I definitely wouldn't worry about it. If someone wants to do it for you, why not?  This will be an awesome blessing that no one should try to take from you!

I'm having a second one and I already have everything I need from other peoples hand me downs. I put on the invites that its more of celebrating the upcoming arrival of a new addition to my family.
