I'm also a first time mom with a baby boy. I'm 38 weeks and 4 days. I started my baby registry when I found out I was pregnant. I did mine at babies R Us and Walmart.

Babylist is an app and website that is a universal registry. You can add anything from any store to it! Start a registry as soon as you get pg so you can add stuff as you think of it. Could share it with friends and family when you feel it's ready

A registry is basically a gift list online, you can do them at toys-r-us, babies-r-us, target, Walmart, etc. Shower guests and family members can look on your registry (gift list) and purchase items you have put on it. You just need to be sure to let them know where you registered so they know what you need for the baby.

Babies r us is three best place to go but they are so expensive ago just let everyone know that they price match so if you find it cheaper somewhere else they will match it but its a definite place to get babies first outfit for pictures they have the cutest things.
