Firing you or letting you go because of pregnancy is like saying you cant work hete becausr youre too skinny or your spanish etc etc. Its discrimination against a person. A friend of mine, her boss made up a lie on why he let her go. She had journal logged everything and took it to the hands of law. She won the lawsuit. I would do this for your sake. Write down the day, the time it was said, what exactly was said, and who said it. It could be a big win on your side
I was put on part time due to medical complications....I went into preform labor due to stress...my job took my health insurance and told me since I was part time I don't get breaks and they complain when I use the bathroom or anything. I'm working till she's here then me and my husband have to move due to military. I have notes from doctors and everything but apparently its legal what they are doing...according to them
I applyed for a job n when they found oht j was pregnant they decided nvm her educationnis perfect for job but not to miss days when pregnant -_- yupp story of our lifes i hope everything turns out ok n like u said our children always comes first
Look into the labor laws in your state for pregnant women. If you work for a large company then you have more rights. There are things that can be done.
I know what you're going through. My manager doesnt care that im pregnant. He says rude comments towards me and it makes me feel weird. I know no job is more important than your health and the health of your baby but man I feel scared to call off work when I dont feel good cause its an "event" 10 "events" & you can get terminated. How stupid is that rule..! I need this job but im so determined to find a new job after I give birth cause like you said $9 is nothing now a days especially here in Los Angeles.
Too me it's discrimination against women. So because we are creating life, we are not good enough to work. Like no one will hire me because I'm super pregnant, if my boyfriend wasn't the amazing guy he is, I don't know how id be able to care for her. They can't fire you gor being pregnant, look iinto their policy and see where pregnancy stands
And I would call corporate today talk to owners or general manager and start a case asap for what they have told u so later on if they try to fireu for w.e reason u can still sue get money and they have to keep u
That is bull crap plus as long as you have a medical reason they can fire you... but make sure you get documentation about every problem and doctors notes....
Tell those assholes that ull report them to corporate because you feel ur getting discriminated and if the continue to stress u out tell them ur sue them for any complications during ur pregnancy
I had alot of bull sh*** at work. They act like I didn't needed a lunch break or a break. But all I know is they can't fired you.. People don't like pregnancy women anymore. But you have your Dr on your side. I talked to my Dr about what my job was doing to me and he wrote it down for me and wrote me Dr notes.
My job "let me go" because I was missing one day a week for my pregnancy and I also have a two year old who I was needing time off for...sorry I work to live not live to work my family will always come first! Thank goodness my husband has his own company always ND was very supportive and told me to just stay home with our babies! Good luck to you you sound like a smart girl I'm sure it will all work out!
I'm pretty sure it is against the law for them to fire you for being pregnant or any pregnancy related issues. I would keep a journal of all of the things they do to make you feel bad because of your pregnancy. If they ever try to fire you, you might have a lawsuit in your favor. Not completely sure, but better to be safe than sorry! They can't treat you poorly because of your pregnancy.
I get so much crap at work because I've had a lot of complications and a pretty miserable pregnancy. I love being pregnant but its been so rough at work and I feel like they just dont understand because my manager never had kids and just doesnt get it.
All the time. But you are right, no job is worth yours or your baby's health and safety.
