annoyed that people don't respect the name I gave my daughter

So everybody wanted me to name my daughter Kyleah which I didn't really like, but it grew on me. Then her dad decided that he didn't like the name either, so we bumped it. I finally found a name that he and I both agree on and that is Kendall Elise. But my sisters are still referring to her as Kyleah and teaching my niece and son to call her that. And they keep saying they will call her Kyleah when she is born which pisses me off because it's really disrespectful. I really just want to strangle them!

My daughter's name is Nevaeh and my stupid as* brother in law hates her name because (and I quote) "it's a black person name". Wtf dude? His son's name is Leroy for God's sake! But my Nevaeh isn't an 'appropriate' name just because we're white?! Some people just are stupid.

I named my daughter Adalynn and my grandma said she would call her Emily... And never has. Then she said she would call her Addie and never has. Sometimes people say things and don't follow thru. But if they call her that when she is born tell them they are being disrespectful and if they keep it up they won't be able to see the baby until they respect the name you picked for your baby. They had their chance to name their kids and now it's your turn. By the way it's a very cute name you did pick :-)

I don't understand why they would do that. That's not her name. My real mother refused to spell my name correctly for the 1st 8yrs of my life. But that's crazy.

Im in the same boat!! My family doesnt "approve" ofthe name my fiance and I chose so they said they are going to call her whatever they want.
