baby girl name

Hey everyone! Im 38 weeks today and I wanted to ask you all for advice. I am an Armenian and I want to name my baby girl a traditional Armenian name. I will name her Satenik which is an armenian Goddess' name . I wanted to get english speakers' opinions on this name? Does it seem like a hard name to pronouce for you guys? I lovvve that name and it is also my mother in laws name and since shes all the way in europe and is not really participating in the process of raising the baby or my pregnancy at all because of the geographical issue, I wanted to make her feel special and name my baby after her out of respect towards her.  Aside from the fact that I love that name. The name is Satenik pronounced "sah-teh-nick". I just dont want my baby to be ridiculed later on in life because of her name. Some people already pronounce it in the most ridiculous way, saying "satan""satan-ik" etc. What do you all think I should do? Do you all think its a good name and easy for Americans to pronounce? Thanks!!! I appreciate any feedback))

It would be a real shame though if she got ridiculed and told that she was named after satan. Some children and even adults can be so harsh and mean these days just for the sake of being mean.

I will admit that I first thought is was pronounced satan-ik. Lol.. and I still don't know if I'm pronouncing it right when I sound it out like you spelled it in layman's terms, lol, so it probably will be pretty difficult for people to learn how.to pronounce it especially when reading it out so she (and you) will probably be correcting people on it pretty often. But I definitely don't want to discourage you bc if your heart is set on it then go with what you feel is right. I'm sure that many people will love it as soon as they do know how to say it correctly. :-)

Sorry presuming wou could be in America there are some ridiculously religious parents who could possibly pose as a threat thinking you have named her after Satan don't know what it's like in other English speaking countries except Australia Which is where I live but there's still a chance she would get y seed in school here only difference we very multicultural so parents wouldn't say you named your child after Satan

Well I read it the correct way when I first saw it but most English speaking people will pronounce it like satanick. The name is pretty and nice that your sticking with your own culture I guess what you have to consider if she's going to be going to school in an English speaking country she is likely to get teased and called Satan and presuming
