being around everyone drinking

I hate not being able to enjoy wine /drinks when others are. Especially around the holidays and all the party's. It's not an issue not drinking but I don't want to be around others who are...
How do you feel about it? Or handle it?

I cant stand being around drunk ppl after so long. Maybe an hour and a half and then I get really annoyed. Its crazy i just told my sister the other day I want a drink so bad and I don't even drink before being pregnant. But I would never drink while pregnant. I asked my doctor alot of questions and he simply told me.  What did the people in the caveman days do? Nobody knew they were expecting and everyone turned out normal. So I always ask myself that question and decide from that. Of course no drugs and alcohol.

I won't lie, I'll be the terrible one on here. I've had 7 beers this whole pregnancy. I'm just about to be 38 weeks. I stopped my depression, anxiety, and ADHD medications all for this baby even though the doctors said I could at least stay on some of them. I was in full time college this semester taking anatomy and physiology and chemistry plus nutrition class so I was dying this semester especially with how bad my anxiety and depression get. So yeah I would drink half of a three percenter once in a while when I really needed it like (corona light) because I was so stressed out to the point I would throw things and that I'm pretty sure the stress would effect the baby so I took the lesser of the two evils and would have half a beer once in a while. My mom told me that in the 80s they actually told mothers to have a beer once a week because of the vitamin B in them. I've even talked to a lot of doctors who I know (since I'm in prenursing) and they say it's even fine and the only reason they don't say it is because if there is one little thing wrong with the baby that might not even be linked to alcohol use but may be a common symptom they could get sued. OR some mothers will run with it and think that means free for all for drinking. I'm proud of all you guys who haven't drank, but keep in mind there are people out there like me who picked something less severe like drinking a part of a beer once in a while rather than taking risky meds constantly.

My girls friends drink a couple glasses of wine while they are prego. I can't I think I would feel guilty and like a ****** mom! I don't look at them in a bad way but I tried so hard to get prego I'm not taking any chances! Also drunk people are so annoying! I have been out 2 times w drunk friends and its not happening again! Plus they smoke cigs and I quit when I found out I was having a baby and I miss it so much it really makes me mad to watch people smoke! I'm hoping that's just the hormones giving me anger problems! That way once my baby girl is here I won't go back to smoking its such a bad habit.

I asked for my shower to be no booze. I think it's kinda weird and tacky. I don't think people are happy that I made that decision but oh well. It's about me not them!

My boyfriend drinks beers all the time and its not like there is anything wrong with that but at first it bugged me so bad. I guess the worst part is the fact that your sober watching everyone else be drunk and have fun. Its just something that you get used to for me it got easier when i saw how stupid some people are when they are drunk. My boyfriend and i even went to a Machine Gun Kelly concert (hes a rapper) the other day and im 7 months pregnant. Itsucked at first cause everyone was rocking out and i couldn't but you just have to learn how to live with it, it will only be for so long. Ive been pregnant the whole time I've been 18 so i havent even be able to have a single legal drink in my life yet, and my 18th birthday was a little disappointing but st think of the baby :)

I went to a show last night, had a coke and a sandwich. Watched 2 bands play from my table. Back in the day, I would've been right up front, drinking and dancing with the band. I've learned to take it easy the older I've gotten. My priorities have changed. You can still go out and have a good time. I do find that being sober around drunk people is pretty annoying. I don't recommend being around drinking crowds on a regular basis. Keep your stress level down and enjoy yourself. :)
