constipation

Anyone know a good way to get over this? My aunt said warm water and lemon but it's not really working.

I use cvs brand of a stool softer it's not a laxative..  you shouldn't take a laxative pregnant unless prescribed by a doctor.  Also prune juice works wonders.. warm it up a little and it will kick in quick!

Drink prune juice and take some milk of magnesia. Both are great for immediate relief. Up your fiber intake! Also drink lots of water. Normally your supposed to drink 64 oz but when you're pregnant it should be almost double. I have a smoothie every day that includes kale, 2 fruits, flaxseed, and yogurt.  That has definitely helped me!  Good luck!

I also rubbed the pad of my hand in a clockwise motion firmly (just under the thumb. It is associated with the digestive system) the other ladies are right about the low stool and lots of water! salad is also your friend.
And dont strain! Hemorrhoids are a *****!

I read that conut oil worked. It was not so pleasant to taste. I mixed it with something else. It was suggested that I take a teaspoon in the morning and about 5 or 6 hours later I felt relief.the best part is that you can use it to cook with and all kinds of stuff it has a lot of uses.google it if you Have the time m

Increase your fluid and fiber intake. Increase your activity level (walking is key!) Take a 100mg Colace capsule once or twice daily with a large glass of water - it's a stool softener not a laxative, it's very safe and doesn't create dependence. Put your feet up on a low stool while sitting on the toilet, putting you in more of a squatting position instead of sitting.
