I had such bad cramping from implantation to about 9 weeks with my first child. They even gave me Percocet. Some women are just more sensitive than others. I wouldn't suggest a heating pad but maybe a hot water bottle (not too hot). Just to relieve it some. If there is bleeding call your doctor or go to the ER.

Im 7 weeks and I Cramp a little doctor says it's because the uterus is stretching  and as long as its not bad cramping like menstrual Pain. Its quiet. Normal for the first trimester of pregnancy.  just lay down and don't lift anything heavy if theres bleeding go to the ER.
