I talked to my Dr as well and he said that the fluconazole is fine, I will feel 100% relief when I go for my first ultrasound

Sounds crazy but I've battled them a lot this pregnancy and have been told to pick up over the counter treatments. The 3 day treatment. But I was also told by my ob that inserting yogurt yes yogurt 1 tablespoon every other day is a natural cure. I was skeptical but its worked for me.

Missyfish, did you end up taking it? What trimester are you in? From what I read on fda and drugs.com it says a single dose is fine and causes no adverse birth defects but not high doses

I just talked to my OB about a yeast infection today. He perscribed me the same single dose pill. He said the pharmacy thinks it shouldn't be allowed but he said it was okay.

My doc usually calls me in terconazole goo, he said the diflucan or fluconazole pill isnt allowed during pregnancy which ***** because having a yeast infection isnt bad enough, add dealing with the goo treatment to it.

When I first got pregnant I kept getting them over and over and over so I started using summers eve. I wash with it down there every time I take a bath/shower and I haven't gotten one since. :) hope this helps.
