depression

I'm 30 weeks 3 days and on hospital bed rest until i have my babies. I've been here for a week already and i find myself becoming very depressed. I wake up crying and don't want to eat. I don't want to tell the doctor because i don't want them putting me on anymore medication. I take enough meds. At this point i have them giving me ambien just so i can sleep and not have to deal with the depression. Does anybody know how i can fight this? I just want to bring my babies into this world and home healthy.

I appreciate all of the feedback. This is my first pregnancy and they're twin girls. It's been particularly hard on me because I've developed low self esteem during this time. I try to pray a lot and read or watch tv but nothing seems to help. I've been dealing with depression since i was 10 but it's been super hard to fight during the pregnancy. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that in just a few short weeks I'll be bringing two beautiful blessings home. I just want to stop crying all the time. All of your comments have helped and I'm sure this is just a phase.

Imagine that everything will turn out well.  I've struggled my entire life with depresion and am pregnant with twins they will b my fith and sixth children. Depression attacks hatdest when your pregnant and feel like u have lost control.  Try to take back some control by writing. I write letters to my babies during the pregnancy when Im feeling especially down and it distracts me sometimes even cheers me up.  Decide that this won't drag you down then make an effort.  I'm not saying it's easy.  Its a daily struggle but you're blessed and you can handle this.  The clouds will clear soon and like the old song goes just put on a happy face.  Music helps too good luck

Stay strong sweet. I can't begin to imagine what you are going through, but as someone who has suffered with depression the majority of her life, the best advice I can give you is to try and find joy in the little things, no matter how small or insignificant it may be, if it makes you smile or laugh than embrace it. The more happiness you can pull from the tiny moments in life, the easier it is to deal with whole situation.
I hope things get better for you :-)
