1/4 a cup of any alcohol. Hurt a baby 1000% more harm to a baby than dying your hair, the chances of harming your baby with hair dye is .2 of 1000
Believe me, it is safe. How many hairdressers do you know that have babies? If it wasn't safe, they wouldn't be allowed to work. I am a hairdresser and worked 6 days a week and coloring is my specialty. The worse thing that could happen is a reaction of the color with excess hormones which would affect the color that it turns out and that's about it.
I agree with bellas_mami12. Using the amonia-free hair dye is the best way to go! I would also recommend having a professional do it because there is less likely of a chance that they will mess it up and you have to do it over again! Obviously the less you dye it the better it is for the baby. Good luck. :)
dying your hair won't hurt the baby i have dyed my hair 4 fours time i have bleached my friends hair, the obs and doctor in regions from chatham to niagara fall all say it's fine and doesn't do anything just don't sit in a closed area well you wait for the dye to work
Im not trying to bleech my whole bangz. I only wanna put highlights, very very little strains of highlights.
But she's right, bleach ruined my hair I wouldn't recommend it to anyone lol
I My doctor told me after your first trimester it's safe as long as you aren't in a closed environment just sitting in the chemicals, my first child I bleached my hair at 22weeks and dyed it and with my second I dyed and highlighted it at 20 weeks and both of my kids are healthy!
I definitely would not use bleach. Any colour that states amonia free is safe otherwise. Or unless your doctor tells you different.
I used ammonia free hair dye once in my pregnancy. You don't want to breathe in all those fumes. As for the bleach its terrible on your scalp & hair at any time. I wouldn't recommend bleaching til after baby is born.
Sorry my thing is supposed to be Mrs_MC not Mr
I'm 19 weeks and 3 days and I got told that dying and bleaching your hair isn't good for the baby, they both contain a component called Amonia which if you breathe it in while your hair is dying or bleaching it could cause birth problems and problems for the baby to breathe.
As far as I know after the 1st trimester it's safe, you'd want to be in a well ventilated area and use ammonia free or professional color if you can. But check with your Dr to be safe.
