Gotta take the sugar test tomorrow. Any ideas on how to prepare? I've heard the drink they give you is nasty but the said to just drink plenty of water & I should be fine. How long does this test take & how soon can I get my results back? Btw I'm 29wks

Yea don't eat anything until they do the last step which is to draw your blood if you eat before you drink that juice you will have to sit there for 3 extra hrs till your stomach is completely empy then they let you drink it trust me i made that mistake but never again lol

I was told not to eat or drink anything after midnight before my test. as far add results, you won't get any that day. No news is good news! you cannot "prepare" for a glucose test. You want the results to be accurate.

They have different flavors, id ask for the orange, for the same reason above it taste like a flat orange soda. Its not bad at all. I scheduled mine for morning and went fasting so kno issues came up.

It depends on your doctor . Mines had the limon lime flavor and it tasted like flat sprite and it was cold. Its really not that bad as some make it seem . And you should eat in the morning because u will be hungry :( and after you drink the stuff u cant eat or drink anything or walk to much . It goes by pretty fast though

The drink isnt really all that nasty. It just tastes like a flat orange soda. You drink it then wait an hour, then they prick your finger and it takes about 1 minute to get results.
