glucose test?

Any of you ladies fail the one hour and have to go do the three hour? Why is it that we fail the one hour? What could be the possibilities besides diabetes?

I failed both my 1hr and 3hr and i fasted with both. The biggest problem i had with the 3hr is getting drawn on 4 separate times. Good luck i hope you pass.

I failed my one hour on all 3 of my pregnancies,  and passed the 3 hour one. Never understood why it happens. .. my sister always passed the 1 hour one! I think you need to try and schedule the one hour one in the morning as well, so you don't eat anything maybe that's what it is.

Oh really? I went into my first one non fasting the doctor told me to eat something high in protein like eggs. So I ate some eggs no salt no pepper just plain waited an hour drank the drink waited another hour then got my blood drawn that's what they gave me directions to do so I hope I pass I've never had any problems with glucose or sugar levels and have no history of diabetes so I hope I don't have to do the three hour test :(

I failed mine by a few points. I did eat and drink tho the night before. With the 3 hour they have you fast. No food or drinks for 12 hours before your test. I passed my 3 hour. Just a heads up it's gonna suc. Bring a book or magazine as you will be bored during that time and be prepared to give your blood every hour until your 3 hours is up. 4 times total. That was the hardest thing for me. Good luck!
