I died my hair when I was 10 weeks with my doctors approval. I had red hair before and after it faded it looked horrible she said it was fine to dye it as long as it was in a ventilated area. Either  way  I used a natural hair dye with no ammonia.

I dyed my hair with my last pregnancy in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. The first trimester is such a crucial time for growth and development that its better not to risk it. Also my hair dresser says to stay away from bleaching, rock your natural roots!

You may want to hold off. I'm 35 weeks. I just decided to color my hair about a week ago. It really didn't take. Was supposed to be lite brown but came out mostly orange and many other colors..lol!

Yeah its safest to stay away from harmful chemicals like ammonia in first trimester - Don't fret, I had to rock some awful swampyblondegreen hair the whole first half of my pregnancy for this reason. After that though, its generally seen as safe as long as you only do it one or two times and dont breathe in the fumes or soak too much in your skin. Although I will tell you this - both times I tried to cover this awful mess my last dye job left my hair in b4 pregnancy the color washed out in about a week. I've given up at this point and have decided to wait until I have him to try again lol
