Hello laidys I recently just stop smoking weed yes I k ow it hasn't been proven either way which is why I stoped but I didn't even find out I was preg till I was 16 weeks and I'm 23 now weined myself off at a steady pace had stoped for like three weeks and smoked once two weeks ago to relieve a horrid migraine well I did my 2 and trimester blood work and they call me treating me like I'm a crack head! Asking me all of these ridiculous questions and then they said they have to report it to child services because I have two Lil boys! Wtf! I'm so angry and upset I can't even see straight! Has anyone had this problem when stoping and it still being in your system. And also they said I now have to randomly drug test I can't do that I have a job school and two small children when the hell would I have the time to do that!
I'm having the same issue, though my doctor actually told me it was okay because the real studies show no harm. I did quit months ago, but for some reason I'm still testing positive and cannot figure out for the life of me why it won't go away. I'm pretty scared myself about the whole cps thing, but I'm just praying for the best, and hope they can be at least slightly understanding that it was a matter of either smoking or not eating in the beginning since I was extremely sick, and I was given the okay by my OB. I'm praying that it works its way out of my system in the next month so I won't have to worry but it's staying for some reason. :/
@gigi thank you for sharing your experience. I totally will do anything in my power to prevent that from hapoining and I already stoped and intend on staying clean until my baby is 12 months old so I can breast feed. And thank you for the encouragement. I have no problems admiring my faults I'm human I just hope they understand that I am trying to rectify the issue I knew so much earlier when i conceveed with my first two this one was an absolute surprise in every sense of the word lol.
Don't let anyone get in your way either! U sound like u know what to do and that u r understanding that the lady might have been having a bad day! If she's still rude to u kill her with kindness don't let her bring u down keep positive and stay on track like u r!! First off I am not judging you but please be carefully and take the tests there asking for my son who is 7 months old was takin from me at birth because he tested positive for weed n I didn't. .. so please be careful and make sure u admit it was stupid n wrong n ur not doing it. Take the tests n if u wanna smoke after the babies born go ahead just do.t while u r pregnant... DCF isn't playing anymore. I'm still fighting to get my son back n it *****.. I'm pregnant again with twins n haven't smoked at all since Feb. I urge u to do whatever THEY say as the doc does inform child service and they will be at the hospital if the baby tests positive. .just remember anything you put in your body after your 7th month of pregnancy stays in he babies placenta! Even if it's out of YOUR system! Be safe hun I will be praying for u!! One day at a time girl!

That's what I wasn't understanding maby it is because of how far along I was when I found out that would make sense Iknow in my health class women addicted to hard drugs refuse medical attention because of this issue but I honestly stoped and can not control the fact that it is still present on Amy lvl other than staying clean which was my plan in the first place maby that laidy eqs having a bad day and just juhed me over the phone we are all intitled to off days right. I have an ap on the third which still worries me because if it was iny system one week ago it may not be completely gone them either I just hope they will understand that part and not just misjudged me because of the presence alone. And @amanda I'm in Cali the laws are so ambiguous its ridiculous so keep your dam opinion to yourself I asked for help concerning them not understanding that I had stoped and being worried about my children not for your unneeded negativity!
Wtf that's crazy what state do you live it? I live in cal and my first pregnancy I tested positive my first appointment and my Dr just said she didn't want to see it again I don't understand cause my best friend smoked her entire pregnancy we had the same Dr and she never said anything to her! I wouldn't worry about it to much even tho it pisses you just try to drink lots of fluids to get it out of your systems

to last longer in your system the more you smoke. I would talk to your Dr about it and see if he can test you to see how your levels are dropping instead of getting cps involved because you were a smoker before and you barely found out you were pregnant. Maybe thats why there trying to involve cps since your already "far along".

If marijuana is illegal where you live, then I'd say the office acted appropriately...
@loveyouforever that sounds so much more applicable! I tried to explain how b4 being preg I used weed to sleep and when finding out only 6 weeks ago I began weaning myself off and have been completely clean for about two weeks now but this laidy was just insanely rude noatyer what I said. I didn't understand it weed can stay in your system for like 6 months depending in the frequency at which u used it so why not test my lvls and sew that they are steadily dripping b4 calling CP's?
I live in grand rapids, Michigan. I smoked weed during the beginning of my pregnancy because I couldn't eat enough to give my baby what she needed. I had continuous nausea & pains like no other. Weed helped. When I tested positive I spoke my case & how I researched it. My doctor agreed & said the most that would happen was CP's would possibly be called just to make sure the baby was in good hands. She said they wouldn't go any further because if they took everyone's child that smoked weed, basically 50% of kids would need new homes. Maybe that's just where I'm from, but they don't look at it that bad here at all. Its decriminalized.

At the next appointment my doctor pointed out to me how they found marijuana in my system and to quit then and there as it can cause harm to my baby. I was shocked because i didn't know they even tested for that,but i wasnt mad either because it's there job to keep baby from harms way. I explained to her how i smoked everyday until i found out i was pregnant. Im 29wks clean and haven't had a problem since ;) i agree with @MFAYB Things are different now ,in awhole other time zone. Hospitals and clinics have the right to do whatever they please as far as testing with drugs and ensuring the health of the baby

I didn't say anything negative at all. I stated the fact that other things are legal and they can still get you into trouble if the baby test positive for them. So you can take your unneeded attitude and direct it elsewhere. I wasn't rude at all. I am a women and so are you how does it help either of us for you to speak that way towards me?

And they dont have to give notice although every case is different in cali and will depend on the worker they assign you. They will be looking for it so it being in the garage is not a good idea.
Btw i just saw your in cali.. i was born and raised there. They are ******** just so you know. my friend had the same thing happen to her and she got her kids taken away. Be careful..
Im very against weed smoking while pregnant however i applaud you for quitting. There are moms on here who dont quit. Take it seriously about them testing you and dont dare smoke as your children are more important. Depending on what state you live in they can legally test you. Also, when you go in for your first ob appointment there is a LOT of stuff u have to sign and it's possible in one of the paper there is a clause saying they have the right to test you for whatever they want. Seriously, it would be a shame to deliver your baby and have tje child taken away. QUIT NOW. The babys health and right to have his mother depends on you.
And being on property will still cause you issues(the garage) as the children can still be easily exposed to it in the home. You should stop all smoking on property until you file is closed.

Also cps do Not need to give Any notice before showing up and prefer not too. The don't want to give time for cleaning etc. This way they can see the house as it normally is

Also, since 2012 it is no longer a law that you had to be informed about being drug tested.

I thought it was illegal to be tested without your knowledge or say so. I would definitely find a new doctor. They are obviously very ignorant. Did you know, way back when, doctors used to prescribe pot to pregnant women to help with mood and discomfort from pregnancy?
