Everyone is different. I have a friends who was tiny before and looks exactly the same now (after). She didn't even get a stretch mark. Drink a lot of water, raspberry leaf tea helps your uterus contract even after pregnancy to get back to what it was, use lotion, and work for tone after you've healed.

13 days post delivery I was 2 lbs. below pre preg. weight (lost close to 30lbs in 13 days) Mostly Water and Birth Related Weight.

Ladies above are right. I can fit into most my pre preg clothes but....I have bigger BOOBS and pooch tummy from c section. Flabby....

I agree with geekmom 1213. Takes more time but for sure does happen. People at the wedding will know you just had a baby most likely I'm guessing. No need to stress. Get a tummy control nillons. Helped me out a ton a month after baby was born. Went to a wedding also.

Warning - Your body will not snap right back to its former shape. The weight might fall off fairly quickly but your body has done a LOT of changing over nine months. It takes several weeks for your uterus to contract back to its normal size and the skin on your belly will look like it belongs to someone else. I'm not trying to discourage you I just want to mention the reality that you won't feel beach-body ready a month after delivery. Those celebrity magazine covers of the women who "got their body back in three weeks" are photoshopped. Don't worry, it'll happen. But it does take time.

I delivered June 1. I gained between 25-35 lbs. The last two weeks I packed on lots of fluid/water weight. Not sure of exact weight day of delivery ....

Healthy preg. weight gain is 20-30 lbs. You will lose Baby Weight/Placenta/Peg.Fluids during birth of 14lbs. to 20lbs.....the excess water  you gained during pregnancy may take a few weeks to eliminate from your body.

Breast Feeding will help you shed water weight and any excess "fat" more quickly since you burn lots of calories from it...and you can't excercise much the first few weeks so....breast feed! Be sure to eat healthy and ask Dr. for assistance identifying how many calories you must consume to breast feed.

It is the "excess weight" gained from overeating that takes more time and effort to lose. Weight gain over 30lbs. is "typically" fat. To lose "fat" you will need to burn more calories than you consume however; be sure not to under eat or over excercise as this slows weightloss too. Again, ask Dr. to help figure out how many calories you should condume.

I am 6 days post c section delivery. I am now only 13 lbs. Over pre preg weight. I can see I am still retaining water as my feet and ankles are swollen. To lose the water weight I have been told by Dr. To drink plenty of water....you must be hydrated for your body to release excess fluids in feet/belly etc. I will continue to do this, eat helthy, breast feed, and walk for excercise and do expect to be at pre preg weight within 4-6 weeks.

Fastest way to lose weight post preg. is to eat right while preg
