I asked the doctor about this yesterday. I told her it hurts mostly when I cough or sneeze while laying down. She told me it's round ligament pain, and completely normal.  I also had a hernia when I was a child, and she said that most women get round ligament pain further along (I'm 12 weeks), but due to the scar tissue from my hernia surgery, it's possible for me to get them earlier.

Ugh its the worst! I think its cause of the looser ligaments in our pelvis and the stretched muscles

Yes! Sometimes it really hurts too! It's fine, just becasue everything is stretched, sneezing causes like a spasm effect. When I feel one coming I bring my legs up towards my chest, it really helps.
