slapped cheek syndrome??

Ok im pretty freaked out,just got text from my kids school saying theres a few confirmed cases of this in the school and to contact your gp if pregnant as it can be fatal during pregnancy..rang my gp straight away in a panic and im having blood tests on monday to check if im immune to it...just wondering has anyone ever had this during pregnancy and what happened? When you hear the words fatal during pregnancy its pretty scary

My nephew had fifth disease when my sister was pregnant with my niece. They were all fine she never got it but had to do a lot of blood work throughout her pregnancy

If its fifth disease its really not to bad... most only get a rash with it :p my cousin has fifths n i have caught it, its anyoying cuz im constantly itchy but other than that me n the lil girl are just fine

Thanks lkaykirk thats good,im having a blood test on monday to check if im immune to it..i just totally panicked this morning so hopefully im immune and im worrying over nothing

My nephew had it when my sister was pregnant with her 3rd. Everyone survived a day was ok. And only he had it out of the whole house. It's also called fifth disease.
