spicy food???

I am 20 weeks and I've been craving spicy foods like crazy. I just want to know if it's safe for my baby girl ? I don't want to eat anything that will hurt her.  Any advice ???

It's perfectly fine but you could be unfortunate and have bad heartburn afterwards. I've eaten spicy food all the way through, I LOVE it!lol. I've been craving hot foods too, hot sauce on everything and last night I ate a lot of jalapeƱos, yum! I just keep some Rennie/tums handy lol. Enjoy :)

I love spicy food. I ate it all the time before getting pregnant (this is my first). Once I got pregnant,  I was lucky with mild morning sickness never actually puking, but once I had my normal mexican dish I was up all night puking.  I tried again a couple week later and same thing. At my doc visit she said it wasn't hurting the baby, but the baby just didn't like it. So I've refrained from having mexican food or not having such spicy food. It's gotten better- not getting sick. Listen to your body. ;)

Spicy foods will not hurt the baby but may make you feel uncomfortable. I have ate jalapenos out of jar this pregnancy and had the same concerns I did a ton of research and all med doctors said it was perfectly safe
