stretch and sweep (membrane sweep)

Hi guys!
I'm 39weeks+4 and I have an appointment tomorrow to have a stretch and sweep. Due to pregnancy complications the midwife has said that when they examine me and notice I am over 2 cm dialated they will discuss with me about admitting me and maybe starting my labour off, also they may break my waters for me.
I've been in slow labour for 2 weeks and baby is pretty much fully engaged so I am expecting something along these lines to happen, but I was just wondering if anyone else has gone through this?
This is my first baby, so you can imagine I'm quite anxious. Thanks.

I wish you both luck , I was at 3cm dilated (Tuesday the 23rd) dr did the stretch and sweep , had contractions and bloody show for over a week but still no baby and its the 29th now.

Had my sweep today im 40+1 it was fine just a little uncomfortable im also 2cm dilated im experiencing more cramping now but not enought for me to go to hospital they say labour can start upto 48hrs after or could take days!im hoping not xmas day lol.its my first aswell
