Personally it's just a matter of comfort but also from anatomical point of view it may interfere with blood circulation for you and hence your baby too. But that depends on how tight we are talking about, I like to wear a body fitting but not restricting tank top under my very loose fitting scrubs for work for added support. I hope this helps
