Im at l&d now they wanna do a carbon monoxide test on me now cuz I told them I haven't had a cig for a week but I have but I have cut down what do I say to her without me looking stupid! !!! Reply fast pleaae

It's not illegal to smoke cigarettes and you won't be the first or last to not fully give it up.  Your doctor will understand and that is all that matters.  Good luck sweetie.

I think you are just talking about cigarettes, right?  That's not illegal.  Many women have trouble stopping smoking.  So, you can tell them that you cut way down but haven't completely stopped even though you tried.  But since they aren't illegal, they just want to make sure the baby is okay.

the problem with marijuana is that in most places it is illegal.  That is where it gets sticky.  But cigs are not, so you should be fine to just be honest.  good luck hon

Or say something like "I don't recall having a full one I might of puffed off someone" (your bf or sibling or someone safer than just anyone) lol . But yeah or "sorry I forgot I might of had one"

just tell them. it happens they cant do anything to you.....just make sure baby is ok.

Just say, "so yeah, about me smoking I did have a few smokes but its a lot less than what I used to smoke!" Either way it'll show up on the test.

You can't be penalized for smoking while pregnant seeing ad cigarettes aren't illegal... They want to test you to make sure your baby is healthy seeing as high levels can be fatal, it'd be in very poor judgment to refuse the test

Also dont feel the need to use an excuse, ypu smoked because you wanted to and thats it. Take responsibility for your actions- it doesnt make it right- but it may decrease the chances of you being ridiculed if you even are. You dont owe anyone an explaination.

I smoked for over ten years..
I quit on my first pregnancy but unfortunately went back to smoking wen she was born as she was ill and I was stressed.  
I quit cold turkey the day I found out on this bubba...

I've been a mammy to a nicu bby. Its not nice - stop smoking and making excuses before you see the inside if nicu too.

I'm not starting an argument with you. But I will be brutally honest.  
You CAN quit.

You need to tell the truth they'd only test if they are worried about toxins in your baby's blood or oxygen.
I'm not gonna rant about the damage I'm sure you know the damage -
