Pregnancy is not a time to diet or worry about weight.  If you do weigh 300 pounds afterwards its up to you to lose it.

LiKe pp have said, if you eat healthy you will likely loose weight. I was overweight when I got pregnant and early in my first trimester I lost 15 lb from being sick. I'm 20 weeks and still haven't gained anything back. Baby is healthy and growth is on track. Just do your best and don't beat yourself up for the occasional indulgence.  Good luck!

I started out at 220 and lost 20 lbs. My mum is also bigger and lost a lot of weight while pregnant. Happened naturally, too. Did t try to lose weight. It just happened! Don't stress, just drink plenty of fluids and eat healthy :)

Maybe you'll end up losing naturally and as well!

Just try not to over eat. Doctors usually tell us overweight ladies to only gain 10-15lbs during pregnancy. I've been maintaining my food intake, am now going on 18 weeks and have only gained 7lbs. It's do-able ;)

Actually,  since you're overweight,  if you eat healthy and watch your intake,  it's very likely you'll lose weight during early pregnancy due to added demands on your body.

Women who are mid-weight - a little overweight - are very at risk for large weight gains.  Women who are significantly overweight often don't gain much at all.

Best wishes.  It's good that you're on top of this now -

And let your doc know now your concerns and how you do you want to be healthy as possible but at the same time this is a time where a woman doesn't want to be told anything about her weight... So to be sensitive lol

You'll be just fine. Stay active and use this time to eat right and be as healthy as possible.  It's a hard time with cravings and all but try to do your best 80‰ of the time
