They let you go? It sounds like next week should be fine to ask. They kept me 36 hours and put me on IV fluids to keep me hydrated. I kept throwing up though. If it gets to that point again be sure to go back. Hope it all goes well!

You should insist on an ultrasound. It could be infected which is serious.

I had my gallbladder removed last year, avoiding fatty foods is main thing..I.know women that have had their gallbladder removed during pregnancy with no problem but hopefully you'll get to end of your pregnancy without having it done..good luck

Did they do an ultrasound? You might have gallstones. I just went to the hospital yesterday because of very bad abdomen pains and sure enough i have gallstones. They can put you on some Tylenol with codeine in it. if it becomes worse they might have to remove it. i would get it removed after the pregnancy since you're almost there. I'm only 15weeks. Avoid spicy, greasy, and fried foods.

Trial and error.
Milk bothers me, but soft ice cream doesn't. I can handle about 2 eggs. Meats are also iffy even if they don't contain much fat like steak. Strawberries are also bad for me.

I found that taking a Zantac every 12 hours and then Diovol in between meals has been a lifesaver for me.

Depending how far along you are and how bad it is, they'll remove it. They only want to during the 2nd trimester. They didn't catch mine until I was 30 weeks along and in agonizing pain. The surgeon refused to take it out. The result? I have to be extremely careful as it can get infected and get gangrene. I wish they caught it a few weeks sooner so they could've taken it out.

You should avoid high fatty foods, that includes the "healthy" fats too, but they are obviously a better alternative. Stay away from fried foods, butter, avacados, dressings, ext. Try to eat a healthy balanced died of fruits, veggies, lean proteins (fish, chicken) red meats are high in fat. It can be controlled with diet, you just need to be disciplined. If it gets bad enough they will have to remove your gullbladder, so it is very important to follow a healthy diet till baby is out and it can be dealt with.
