I had unprotected sex and my period was late.

I had unprotected sex on feb 14 and he ejaculated inside me. I am on birth control but stupidly did not get a plan B after we had sex. I didn't think anything of it until my period was late. I took a test a day after my period was late and it was negative. But after another week my period still didn't come so I took another test which came back negative. At that point I figured the test must be accurate since it was so long after my period should have come. Then march 18 I got my period and it started as just a little brown spotting but turned into a full period which I still have right now. I feel like I might be having early pregnancy symptoms but I might just be scaring myself into thinking that? I don't know but the more I think about it my stomach feels weird and I feel like I've gained weight. I took another pregnancy test today but it was still negative. I know it is possible for women to have periods for a couple months and get negative results when they really are pregnant. Any feedback? I'm just really scared. I've taken three tests all negative and it would be about 5 weeks now if I am pregnant.

When you say "unprotected sex",  you are "unprotected" for spreading sexually transmitted diseases,  but you are protected against pregnancy.

If you're on a birth control pill and taking it correctly,  you don't have to use PlanB if you have sex.  The pill will keep you from getting pregnant.

I know you hear cases where women get pregnant while taking the pill,  but in clinical trials,  where a nurse witnesses the woman take the pill at the same time every day,  the women get pregnant at a very,  very minimal rate.  You're covered if you're on the pill and you're taking it correctly,  statistically.

Did you just start taking it?  When you're on the pill,  you won't ovulate and so won't have an actual period.  But when you're on the off week,  you do have a little hormonal bleeding.  It should be light.  If it doesn't happen,  you still just start with the next pack and all is well.

Are you still taking the pill or did you stop after you didn't start to bleed?

I'm still taking the pill and kept taking it normally even when I didn't start to bleed. And it just worries me because I have an older friend who got pregnant while she was on the pill.
