Shortened cervix, threatened preterm labor

Hi. I'm 26 weeks, 2 days pregnant with twins & was placed on strict bedrest after being released from the hospital almost a week ago. My high risk doc was checking my cervical length every two weeks & it had gone from 3.5cm to 2.5 to 1.5 approx on the 18th. I was in the hospital from the 18th thru the 21st. (This was my second hospital visit this month.) They injected steroids, monitored contractions & did another fetal fibronectin test, which came back negative. Has anyone been in this situation? The high risk doc has decided to stop checking my cervical length because it's just not being consistent with the tests. I saw my ob this past Thurs & she said I'm a fingertip dilated. Just hearing the word "dilated " concerned me, but I'm guessing I could stay at a fingertip for quite a while... We're taking it day by day & will celebrate each week that our little ones stay put ;) If anyone has a similar experience, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thanks :)

Hey, sorry to hear about the thyroid disease, but that's great they discovered it & you'll have meds for it ;) Yeah, my cervix has always been tightly closed, but when they measure cervical length via u/s, the length was continuing to shorten. It's two different exams. Just last week is when my ob said I was a fingertip dilated, so hopefully at my appt tomorrow, I won't have progresses any more ;) Take care!

I don't have any experience with that yet.   I just came back from dr. yesterday for my 20-week anatomy scan.  They also check my cervix and mine is closed and looked good.  But found out that I have thyroid disease and have to take meds.
Try to relax and will be praying for you and your babies.
