Twins!

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. I recently went for IVF and just found out yesterday that I'm expecting twins! This is our first pregnancy after trying for a few years. It's still very early though, I'm now just almost into 6 weeks. I would like to know when does morning sickness usually start if you are carrying twins? Cos I've heard that it can get quite bad and I'm feeling worried. I would appreciate any input! Thanks!  :)

Thanks and congratulations to you too! I'm also on progesterone shots now and they sure hurt! Hopefully these 2 weeks will fly by and I can go for my next appointment and hear their heartbeats for the first time. Keeping my fingers crossed...

I went through IVF to and had 2 5d blast out back in and now am expecting twins. I really didn't have that much morning sickness just nausea from time to time. I found lemon water worked great to get rid of it, I also found that I was really tired but I think that is due to the progesterone too. I have stopped the progesterone now and and feeling a  bit better. My morning sickness lasted form about 7 weeks to 10 weeks they say it can come back so we will see if it stays away. I just got to see the babies again and hear there littl heartbeats, it's so amazing I am sure you will do fine and I hope you get to see the heartbeat with your next u/s It makes you feel so much better. Congrats and I hope you have a happy healthy 8 months

my heart rate was high at th 6 week scan and check. All settled down now..I think 5.5w is too early for a heart beat, you will be fine, don't stress it..
I had another scan today, saw two heartbeats and everything looks good. One bub is 2.4cm and the other is 2cm. Going back to see the doc in 2 weeks.

Thanks and congratulations to you too! Wow... You had 1 blast transferred and having twins? Well done! :)  I had 2 3day embryos transferred. I just went for a scan at 5.5 weeks but apparently it was still too early to see the heartbeats. I'm going back 2 weeks later. Keeping my fingers crossed.

By the way, did anyone have an increase in heart rate?

I am pregnant with twins also, we went through ivf and had 1 5d blast transferred. Worked first go :)
Today I am 8w2d, I have only thrown up once but get the horrid feeling like I want to alot throughout the day. I am very tired, smells annoy me and make me feel sick, depending on the smell of course.
This is our 3rd pregnancy, we have a girl and boy already, both born by c section.
Ohh and in about 21/4hrs I will be having another scan. At my 6w scan one bub was a bit small and he wants to double check, bub had a heart beat etc.

Thanks so much everyone for your support! I have been feeling quite worried actually as this is my first pregnancy and don't really know what to expect. Congratulations to all of you as well! I can imagine it must be so exciting as the pregnancy progresses and you can feel the babies kicking.

I'm actually feeling very bloated now, though not as bad as last week. I have been losing some weight too as I'd not been eating well the past 3 weeks from the effects of IVF. Hope I start to put back some soon and that it doesn't affect the pregnancy. Once again, thanks for your support!  :)

Congratulations!!  I also went through IVF and am due in november with twins!  As for morning sickness, I was on the progesterone shots until 8 weeks and once I stopped those, then the sickness set in until around 14 weeks. I was mostly just nauseous all day, and had a hard time finding something that I actually wanted to eat.  At about 10 weeks, I started throwing up 2-3 times a week in the evenings.  (sorry if that's too much info)  I do hear everyone is different though so maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones that doesn't get it!  Congrats again!

congrats!!! morning sickness doesn't always happen. the only thing i had close to morning sickness was occasional dry heaving (but it could have also been from me having the flu).  the thing that was worse for me was peeing every 2 seconds. (i spent most of my 8 months sitting on the toilet peeing....i was tempted to have my mom install a tv in the bathroom. lol)
