Couple wise only make sure that you love each other in a way you create a space of love for this child, that you are commited in order to raise a child and bond so you can trust each other, as well as making clear what sort of paraenting style, values, education, and so on you both agree on to bring up your child on very much the same terems although you will be pouring on to the baby your uniqness as a human being.

Go for it!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

Aside the emotional, financial and ethical issues the medical points that may need to be kept in mind before thinking about conception are if you are on an drugs or medications or are exposed to chemicals that may hamper the development of the child, due you have any nutritional deficiencies that may need to be made up, is there a family history of any congenital defects or miscarriages for which you may need to see an obstetrician etc. If you can plan conception you could discuss the medical situation in detail with your gynaecologist.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
