how many  naps do your twins take during the day and for how long? how long do yours sleep at night?

i'm starting to wonder if my guys are starting to sleep to much instead of too little. it used to be anti sleep. now that's all the seem to do. they both take 2 2 hour naps during the day and they sleep about 12-14 hours a night (they do wake up for a bottle and a diaper change once or twice through the night).

They may just be going through a growth spurt....I have been told many times that when they really increase their sleep, they are going through a growth cycle.

I don't think you have anything to worry about but run it by their ped for their professional opinion.

Good luck! Keep us posted.

My twins were still taking 2 naps a day until about 15 months.  At 7 months they sometimes even had a 3rd "cat nap" just before dinner too.  They didn't get down to just 1 nap/day until around 17 months.

so it's nothing i should be really worried about? i mean they are on the go. from the time they wake up till the time they nap or go to bed they are just constantly crawling, rolling and playing. i was just worried because my mom and aunts have told me that they sleep to much.

My 17 month old daughter has almost the exact same sleeping patterns as your boys. She goes to bed around 6:30 or 7:00 p.m. and wakes up in the morning at about 6:30 or 7:00. She takes a nap from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 or so in the morning and another nap from about 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon. She sleeps a lot but she is very healthy her pediatrician says it is normal but to expect that she will stop taking her morning nap soon. I think she is just always on the go and then gets really tired.

well my boys eat meals. they have lunch and dinner. which they're actually starting to eat what i eat. noodles and pasta, mashed potatoes, bread and stuff like that. they are very active. they crawl and roll around everywhere. so i know they do wear themselves out but i just don't know if they're sleeping too much. their pedi is never in her office so i can never get ahold of her. and her nurses are worthless pieces of poo who don't know their thumb from their a$$. i would switch pedi's but because of our insurance i don't really have a choice with who we go with. i can't wait till we switch health insurance companies.

My twins aren't born yet so I cant answer that, but my 22 month old daughter takes a short nap in the morning on the way to day care, and then in the afternoon takes a 1.5 - 2 hr nap.  She usually sleeps around 11 hours at night - straight through - no food or diaper changes.

I think yours are just 7 months old, right? Back when my daughter was that age, she was still nursing most of her meals and we had just substituted one meal with vegetables.  At that time she slept through the night with no food or diaper changes, but did wake up and sometimes needed someone one to come in a rub her back or sing or hold her to help her go back to sleep.  At that age she took 2 long naps - one in morning and one in afternoon (similar but slightly less than your kids) but I think she needed it because that was the age she was moving around - scooting around on the floor on her belly, sitting, etc and probably needed the sleep.  I
