Hi!
If you were my patient, I would ask you to come in for an exam and ultrasound.  I would want to be certain that infection was not the cause.  I would also want to do an ultrasound to be certain that there was a healthy heartbeat and that that pregnancy was in the proper place (the uterus)  In most cases light bleeding is not a bad sign and will go away on its own, but in some cases it can be a sign that a miscarriage is going to occur, so call your doctor.
Good luck!

I'm suppose to be almost 10wks according to my ob who calculated by my lmp but when I went in for ultrasound it only showed a yolksac no baby and measured 6wks they did blood work my hcg levels came back high. I'm freaking out could this be a miscarriage or just they have the dates wrong and I'm not as far as they thought. I have follow up on monday it will be a week since they did all tests

This too, is my first. At 7 weeks I had the same symptom. My doctor informed me that this is called implantation bleeding and is perfectly normal. I'm now 10 weeks along and it should go away within a few days at the most:) good luck & congrats!

During my first pregnancy I started spotting at 7 weeks, I was very worried so went to doc n had an internal ultrasound - everything was normal and apparently very common.
Personally I wouldnt think much if it unless you are in pain, cramping, abdominal pain, etc.
BUT if you are worried see your doctor asap :-)

It's normal because your uterus is expanding and the placenta is forming. This expansion can cause a hematoma, kind of like pulling a muscle. A little spotting,  or even some bleeding is normal, but keep an eye out for the amount (if it's a lot and you need a pad and you're changing it a lot) and if there is cramping. Make sure you call your doctor judt yo he safe
