I had bleeding, bright red, at 7 weeks and again at 11 weeks.  Not a lot, but enough to be really scary (especially after 2 prior miscarriages all in the past year).  Each time I thought it was over for sure, but each time my Dr. brought me in for an U/S and everything was fine.  I was diagnosed with a subchorionic bleed.  I am now almost 13 weeks, and just taking it day by day and praying and taking it really easy (but I am still working).  So bleeding does not necessarily mean miscarriage, but you need to check it out with your Dr.

Hi ,
I experienced spotting at 5 weeks which they said was most likely implantation bleeding , i had a scan a week later and they picked up a heartbeat , so fingers crossed it looks ok at present, so try not to worry too much as stress is no good for you or the baby and bleeding isnt always a sign of a M/C .

I hope everything turns out ok for you.

Please anyone that is worried about bleeding during your pregnancy get checked. I was 18w4d when I lost my baby last Sept. I noticed the bleeding and went to the hospital and they did an ultrasound to check the placenta and all was fine. This was the day before. Then they sent me to my dr's office who told me to take warm baths. Which of course had no bearing on the inevidible. I gave birth to a very little boy at home, and even though he was so early he lived for 4 hours after I gave birth to him. PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY MONITOR YOU CLOSELY!!!

I just went to the doctor today because the same thing happened to me. I started really bleeding today 5w4d and I miscarried. My test was negative today (last monday it was positive). i am sorry if I scared you but bleeding in pregnancy can not be treated lightly. go and get it checked out. and yes for some people its normal, i hoped i was one of those people. Now I know.

Hello ladies.
I am 13w4d pregnant with my second child.  My first one is 14 months old now.  With both pregnancies I had spotting.  Before being pregnant these last two times I had 2 misscarriages about 5 years ago.  It was hard to accept at the time, but believe it happened for a reason now. I was aslo told back then that 50% of all first pregnancies end in misscarriage. When I started spotting with my last pregnancy I got worried that I was going to have another misscarriage, but it did not turn out that way, and of course when it happened this time I thought the same thing, but so far everything is good.  I have had an ultrasound done and there is a strong heart beat.  They never really gave me a reason as to why this was happening.  Last time they did say it was probably because of the egg planting and it was a normal thing.  I know spotting happens to some ladies but not all.  My last pregnancy I was put on bed rest for a month until I stopped spotting, this time there was no rest since I have a little one, but the spotting only lasted for a couple of weeks.  Play it safe and get into see your doctor and try not to stress, no lifting heavy things, just rest!  Hopefully everything turns out for the best.l

Hi, I am new to this. Me and my husband have been trying to conceive for over a year. I had a tubal reversal done at the beginning of last year. I did a home pregnancy test last tues, it was positive. I went to my family doctor the next day to confirm the positve test. I had blood work done to test my hormone level. Those results were fine. I went back yesterday to have more blood work done and also because I had pain in my right side. I got a call from the doctor today saying that my hormone level had dropped and that means a niscarriage. I have had cramps but very little bleeding. I had brown blood on Easter Sunday. But the blood hasn't even been a flow, just a little when I wipe, even a little today. The doctor says that my first hormone level said that I was about 3-4 weeks pregnant, which is about right because I can remember when I conceived. My last period was March 4-8. My cycle is normally 24-26 days long. I hadn't seen my obgyn yet. I do see mt fertility doctor on thursday. Is there any hope for me between now and then. I am a nervous wreck. Me and my husband wanted this baby so bad. I have two children from a previos marriage and so does he but we don't have any together. If in fact I am having a miscarriage when does the heavy bleeding start and pain. I don't have either at this point, just an occasional spotting and a mild pain in my side.

I was bleeding for a week in january at 8 weeks but didn't do anything about it for a week thinking it was normal . It turned out the baby's heart had stopped. I bled for 3-4 weeks and then found out I was pregnant again in February. I am now around 8-9 weeks pregnant again and no bleeding.

good luck

Hi,

I'm 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant, yesterday, i had some light bleeding, only once and not bled since. I also had some stomach pains, nothing bad, just an ache. I went to the doctors and she said they can't scan yet as it's too early. But just wait and see, and to do another test in 2 weeks. I'm really worried.

is this normal? does it mean miscarriage?

I did this w/both my babies. Around 6wks & at 17wks. I know it's so scary!! After a week of spotting they finally did a vag.u/s & all was well, maybe u can get them to do one on u soon, but someimes it can still be too early to even see a heartbeat so keep this in mind if they do an early u/s on you!!!!! LOVE & PRAYERS
