What is ok to take for a yeast infection? I don't go to the Dr. Til Tuesday. I heard the one time fluconazole pill cause birth defects. Don't know how true it is just wanna be safe. Or should I try monistat 7. Im scared to take any kind of pills while pregnant I don't even take Tylenol I use home remedies. Im a ftm & curious.

I suffered many yeast infections and tried everything then someone suggested to me grape seed extract (aka travellers friend) which gets rid of it within a day and is natural. Its pretty gross, you need to have like 3 drops in a glass of water and its horribly bitter but really worth it!

Oh my gosh my heart goes out to you!
Yeast is NO FUN!! :(
Both monistat and diflflucan are okay.
Some obs prefer sometimes to use monistat over the one time diflflucan as a preference.
If you and your doctor prefer monistat it works great.
I have an allergy to monistat myself and get yeast in pregnancy quite often.
With my 1st 2 girls i got it maybe twice for some reason despite cutting back sugars and everything i had gotten yeast sooooo bad with my 2 boys more then likely because of hormonal changes.

I take difflucan as needed and so far with the pregnancy i have now i get them every month and spreads to underneath my breast and skin and stuff. So my ob gives me like 5 diflucan and to take them 1 a week as soon aa symptoms are recognized along with nystatin powder.
Depending symptoms and severity im sure your ob will choose whats safest and best for u. :)

I have 4 very healthy beautiful children no medical problems what so ever. :))

Dont rub soap on the yeast area but keep clean and dry along with the med choosen and drink lots of water! :)

Best wishes
Hang in there!
Sincerely bondsmommy
