Acne During Pregnancy

Hey all...
I have a question and was hoping to get some insight from anyone who may be going through the same thing. So basically, I am just about 14 weeks pregnant and since I found out, I have had terrible acne around my chin area that just doesn't seem to let up. It's very frustrating for me because I was always one of those people who never got zits except one little one around the time of my period. I have been using the same cleanser on my face since before I got pregnant and now it doesn't seem to be working. Basically my chin looks like a "connect-the-dots"!!! Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has gone through a similar experience and what you all used to help get rid of it. My fear is that I will end up with scars on my face if I don't get it taken care of. Anyway, I would appreciate any remedies anybody may have.

My skin after my teenage years has always been good. During my pregnancy, I developed a small amount of acne and mild irritation. The bad news was after my son was born I got really bad acne! I thought it was his lotion or detergent- I changed them a MILLION TIMES- and nothing! I would cry at my new body and pimples- who was i? Finally, my mom bought me a gag type gift from : MILF Cosmetics (Mom intent on being Fabulous) and I tried it for a few days and it actually worked! I love this stuff! My skin is MUCH better and I now feel like it is going back to normal. I still use this line and have bought it a a gift for friends because it works and the name cracks everyone up too!

Hey there Shannon! I would highly reccomend Clearasil Ultra. It is benzoyl peroxide which is safe during pregnancy. I've suffered from acne since I was a teenager and relate to your situation. I've literally tried everything out there, and Clearasil Ultra really does work. Just remember that it WILL go away, it won't last forever... enjoy your pregnancy and know that you are beautiful despite a few temporary spots on your face. Good luck and best wishes!! :-)

Well at least I am not alone... hopefully it will get better soon though. Thanks for all the insight. Also, Brown Eyed Gurl, I had a question about the product you mentioned. You have found that it works well for you? Also, is it something that is approved for use during pregnancy? I'm sure it is but I am just super paranoid!!! I will have to check it out and see how it works for me. Thanks again.

I had a natural m/c 3 weeks ago - and when I first found out I was pg I had really bad acne (it's what led me to think I should test) because normally I NEVER have acne - my chin area STILL is giving me problems - and now I seem to be breaking out other places lately sighs - I loved having clear skin all the time.  Oh well.

I have the same problem, but I have been using Proactive since before I was pregnant and since becoming preggo, it makes my face dry out. Where as before it did wonders for my complection. It even burns a little now. I had to stop using it, and they just sent me a new month worth. Good thing I have a teenage boy that can get some use out of it.
