My first one I had in for almost 4 years. I had it removed and was pregnant within 2 Weeks. My second one I had removed after 1.5 years and it took us 4 months to get pregnant. I am now 22 Weeks.

ino its not the same thing but i had my implant took out because i worked out i was ovulating despite not having periods for months, i actually got it take out and fell pregnant within 2 weeks of having it out, never had a period at all, its true when they say you can fall straight after stopping any contraception, just dont go over the top having lots of sex because each time you have sex the sperm actually kills current sperm off, even though its ment to survive for 5 days inside you, obviously not true.

Hi!
I see your question was missed too.  I think the system misfired on this day.
You can try for pregnancy right away after your IUD is removed.  There is no waiting time. If you don't get pregnancy right away, your cycles should resume within 4-6 months after having a Mirena removed.
Good luck!
Dr B
PS sorry for the delay in the response!

I had mine in for 4 yrs then had it removed.  I got pregnant a month later. It all depends. My doctor said it can take up to a year.
