Ammonia smellling discharge? Douche during pregnancy?

I just have two questions. . .

1. Is it okay to douch while you are pregnant?

2. Does anyone know why my discharge might smell like ammonia?

i went for medical assisting. welll i toke two hpt test the first one i drank a lot of water and it diluted the result witht the second i held my urine and myself and dh can see a line wainting to come thru but it is very fiant. and its 4 days late for my cycle. i dont think the hpv can cause ammonia smelling urine but not for sure. they might proscribe metronidazole(flagyl) or metro-gel. or clindamiacin for bv. baacterial infection. when yyou have your pap smear they wil do the whiff test. if not bv thenit could be uti.well goodluck. keep me posted. no problem i mispell all the time becuase i dont know hoe to type but i know where all the keys are so i look at the keyboard instead of the computer screen strange right. just force of habit.  well keep me posted.

oh no i mean we have tampons too. thats what catches falling blood. but the ****** is a water vinniger based solution in a bottle u squirt u in the vagina to clean u. like after a menstral cycle. so u like america?

its the ennema looking things u get from walmart that you insert like a tampon and it shoots a water vinegar solution up in u to clean u

thabk you so much for writing back. when u say school you mean college? what did u go for? just wondering. also i am not pregnant i dont think any way but that question just popped up in my head. i did douch tonight thou for the very first time in my life cause i thought it might help the ammonia smell. do u know what antibiotics might be subscrbed for this infection? also i do have hpv. . . would this contribute to the ammonia smell? i saw whaere u posted one day u thought u might b having preg symptoms. . . what is ur current status? i am on my pda so its hard to type. . . please overlook the mispelled words. . . lol thanks

that means that you have an infection. bacterial vaginosis. probably. no you should never ****** will pregnant. it wash away normal bacteria that is supposed to be in the vagina. and you could upset the normal ph balnce and then you can set yourself up for bacterial vaginosis.  i know because in school we have to smell the urine of our other classmates and write the color smell, and do urine dipstick test on each other. urinalysis. so you might want to go and see the ob/gyn. keep me posted.
