At how many weeks did you have your first?

I'm just curious to see at how many weeks all of you had your first baby, I'll be 36 weeks sunday and i've already been feeling alot of cervical pressure and my BH's have been increasing. They are not at regular intervals or anything just more each day.

I had my first by c-section, and second vaginally. My second was born at 39 weeks 5 days, the only thing I noticed was more BH the day before...

thanks so much for your responses ladies! wow i thought i was uncomfortable when i posted this about 2 weeks ago, HA i laugh at myself lol. Im exactly 38 weeks today and im so ready to be done! Im miserably uncomfortable and tired. doesnt help with DS(my step son who just turned two) has decided bedtime is the end of the world and fights going to sleep until almost 11 and then still wakes up at 7-8 when he used to go to bed no problem around 8. So he's been cranky cause he's short on sleep and him sleeping less means im sleeping less, what little sleep i get from the bathroom breaks in the middle of the night and the waking up trying to roll over.
She has definitely already dropped, i can feel the difference in my hips,my ribs dont ache as bad when i sit, my tail bone is been super sore and my mother came up to me one day and said that my belly definitely looks lower. I've been having more frequent BH contractions just not really painful or regular ones yet. it feels like there has been lightning shooting in my hoo haa like rcc described. which is definitely a different feeling then when i can tell its from Faith pushing her head on my cervix and bladder. Whew sorry about the rant ladies but i dont know how some of you don't kill someone when you go to 41-42 weeks, more power to you!

My first was born at 39 weeks and 5 days.  Approx 3 days before I went it to labour I had bh for half a day.  I also had the lightening feeling go up my hoo haa and felt a lot of pressure down there.

With my second I went into labour at 37 weeks and 2 days.  For about a week and a half before my daughter was born I had bh every second night that lasted most of the night and stopped in the morning.  I also had the lightening strikes going up my hooo haaa.

My signs I am going into labour soon are bh that occur for most of a day and then disappear, the lightening strikes and I felt a whole heap of pressure down there.

Hope that helps

I ended up having my baby at 33 weeks. Contractions started at 32 weeks and they kept stopping them but then baby was getting unhappy so i had emergency c section. Could have very easily ended up having him at 32 weeks if i didnt realise in time my so called 'wind' was actually contractions lol Baby was fine and is a normal clever 2 year old x

It was 37 weeks for me. I didn't have any signs what's so ever. I don't even remember having BH contractions. This was over 5 years ago though. This last pregnancy I had her at 38 weeks. I did have a lot of BH contractions though. I had a lot of back pain. I went into labor quick. By the time I got to the hospital I was 6 cm and they rushed me to get my c-section. Good luck and it will happen soon!!

i had my daughter 3 days before my due date. i had no signs of labour, no show, no back pain, no bowel movents, no waters breaking. i just felt my lower tummy tightening but i thought baby was sitting awkwardly, as i did not even say to anyone i was not too concerned. after a while it happened more often and started getting uncomfortable so i started writing when they started and how long they lasted for and they were coming every 3-4 mins and lasting about 45-50 seconds. when i got to hospital i was 3 cm dilated. labour lasted about 8 hours and i had a water birth with gas and air.

I had my first at 37.5 weeks, I didn't really have any signs that it was going to happen, my waters just broke when I was in bed, totally unexpected!  Then my second was two days late! This is what I found in my pregnancy book under 'week 36'- "You may get stabbing pelvic pains or aches like a stitch, which are probably the pelvic ligaments loosening up. The baby's head may be down low in the pelvis and can bounce up and down on your cervix giving you shocks, particularly if you sit down too quickly. This doesn't necessarily mean that the baby is engaged..."

At 37 weeks you are considered FT,  Your baby would be fine if born now. I am 36 weeks with my 4th child.  My first was born on his due date. I went into labor naturally.  The symptoms were hard to determine if labor or not. I basically could not get comfortable in bed.  I stayed up late, watched a movie and still felt uneasy.  It was 2-3am when I finally called my mother at the time and went to the hospital.  I had him the next afternoon around 4:00.  My 2nd was 2 weeks past due and had to be induced and that didn't take the first day.  I had to have my water broken the next day and she was here in 4 hours. My 3rd I was induced 3 days after due date and she was here within 12 hours.  The pressure, sharp pains and BH are all normal at 35 weeks. They will continue. I too have a lot of pressure and sharp pains with this one.  My crotch hurts and I am already tired of it.  Your baby has most likely dropped and that is why you are feeling all this.  I saw my OB on Wednesday and I am dilated to 1 and 50% effaced but my cervix is firm so nothing anytime soon.  You should be concerned if your baby is not moving much, you get a fever or a lot of headaches. I too would love to have an US at this point just to see how she looks but I know she is okay and would love to have her sooner than later. Being miserable is part of being pregnant.

just tonight i've been having alot of pressure down there and really sharp pains right where my pubic bone is. and more BH contractions then before just never more then 5 in an hour. I feel like i have to pee every 10 min but when i go to the bathroom theres hardly anything. I wish my OB had done another U/S so i know if everything is developed enough so i dont have to worry constantly about possibly going into labor before full term. She gave me this "i have to have a reason to do it or your insurance won't cover it" when my old OB automatically had me scheduled for one at 35 weeks and when i told this ob that she looked at me like i was crazy!

I was 41 weeks both times...induced due to being late and no signs of cervical change at all.  My OB said it wasn't going to happen again when I was pregnant the second time....he was wrong ;)

first at 40wks on the dot, 2nd induced (he was already coming though...he would've been there within a day or two on his own) at 39w4d.

signs of labor for me were...almost unnoticeable. i was sick and uncomfortable with DD and it got progressively worse until one day it was 100% better...I went into labor that day.

with DS I felt great aside from all of those weird neurological and heart problems that I was having....and then right before I went into labor and they sped it up by breaking my water it all got massively worse...my vision went COMPLETELY and I passed out twice...and he was there within I think 12 hours of everything snowballing.

What signs did you ladies get that labor was coming? Lately I've been getting more BH contractions everyday and she pushes down on my cervix and i get this sharp like lightning feeling down there. I just have this overwhelming urge she is going to come before her due date. DH and I both have a family history of big babies, and DS, my step son, was born at 36 weeks weighing in at almost 9lbs! my dad and all of his siblings were 9-10 lb babies and my brother was 9 lbs at 38 weeks. my other brothers werent only because they were twins!
