Babies weight ?

I was on the Babycenter chat rooms looking through some posts and people have mentioned that they knew how much their baby weighed for being however far along they were in their pregnancy. I was wondering how they knew that ? I'm 36 weeks and my doctor hasn't said anything about a specific weight my baby might be at,at this point. Is it when you get cervical checks that they check those things ? And if so, how are they finding that out ? All they've done so far, is feel my belly and say my baby is perfect size and has an excellent heart beat.

I'm so jealous ! I feel like it's a way of better knowing what's going on with our babies. I'm already 9 months and Im jealous that I didn't know I could know his weight ! Omg I'm so excited now. I've gained all this weight and I want to know how much has gone to him lol

@kaidenjmom oh gosh okay. I mean the only thing related to his size that theyve ever said is that it's a good measurement for where I'm at just when they felt my belly and heard the heart beat. During my ultrasounds they checked everything and I believe they did measurements but didn't say anything to me about them. I'll definitely see if I can get an ultrasound before he's born and I'll ask next time. I didn't know about this. Thank you, it was really helpful !

Most of the time you have to ask because if baby is in a weight range where they feel is normal they went being it up. Only if it's an issue. I asked every ultrasound because with my first I never asked, and they never told me that my son was underweight and actually stopped growing. He was born only 3lbs 14 oz

Thank you ! I've had several ultrasounds and a 3D/4D one but the exact weight has never been mentioned. I didn't know if that's something I have to ask or if they should just tell me, but thank you !

They do the weight during ultrasounds. I'm high risk so I'll have a lot of them but most women dont, they should tell you at one of yours, definitely the last before delivery if not before!
