Big baby?

I'm 21 weeks and I got my ultrasound a little over a week ago they said my baby is a about 2 oz bigger than normal then 2 weeks later I had my regular doctors appointment and when they measured my belly they were taken back by how large it was but didn't say how large it should be.. I have alternating doctors so it isn't always easy to talk to them but they didn't go over the ultrasound anatomy scan with me when they should have.. Is there any reason she's so big? She moves around a lot and kicks a lot too.. Could I be more advanced in the pregnancy than the doctors think? My next appointment isn't until November 10 and I'm getting anxious to know why she's big.. Has anyone experienced this before or currently?

And just ask about the anatomy scan,  how the length looks, the weight, everything.  They will be able to answer all your questions.

I new a woman who had a baby that was 17 inches long....so he weighed like 10 to 12 pounds...you could just tell he was going to be tall, she had a vaginal delivary.  I think you'll be fine, with your husband being tall that's probably what it is, but the weight will be proportionate with the length. I think you'll be okay.

Oh ok awesome, that's not too tall 5"10' is even good I just don't want my baby girl growing up to be a 6"5'  like her daddy lol I plan on putting her in sports, dance and swimming or whatever she likes :D

My sister is tall (5'7") and very thin, but she's also been very active all her life. Dance, sports, competitive cheerleading ect... So I'm not really too sure if her being big had anything to do with it. My other sister was also bigger but not as big an is taller than me also, she is 12 and already 5'5" so it could, in theory, make them likely to be tall but again that's a theory

Thank you so much that really puts my nerves at ease, I have been stressing so much about it, also does being a big baby make u predisposed to being a large adult? All the women in both our families are petite I don't want my daughter to be masculine or large in that way.

Also, my mom is 5'5" and was able to deliver my sister naturally with no stitches, so even if your baby is just big, you will most likely be able to deliver naturally. I was afraid of that too I'm 5'2" and honestly don't know if my body could handle getting any bigger

I'm measuring about a week behind size wise, but developentally He's right on track. I think they go more off of how developed everything is when they do ultrasounds and not by size. So your baby could just be big, average is 7-8 pounds I think, but some babies are just big, I was 7pounds but my little sister was 10 almost 11.
