Bleeding During Pregnancy

I'm about 14 weeks pregnant and I have been experiencing some bleeding the past two weeks intermittently. At first it was just a drop or two of brownish red mucus and my OB GYN ordered me to get an ultrasound which revealed that there was a very small accumulation of fluid in the cervical canal. The doc put me on bed rest and prescribed Duvadilan and Duphaston. After two days the bleeding turned bright red but still just several drops with no pain. I went back to the doc and was told that the baby was fine, fetal heart rate was around 166bpm and the cervix was closed. the next day, I passed a bit of blood and a sort of blood clot (im not sure if that's what it was but I usually pass the same thing during my regular periods). It was small, like maybe an inch or so and looked like a bit of uncooked liver. I wasn't able to see the doctor. That was two days ago but since then I haven't had any bleeding.

Is this kind of thing normal? this is my third pregnancy and I've never had any problems during the first two. I'm 28 years old and I had my last baby 6 years ago. Please do enlighten me. This situation is scaring the wits out of me. I'm continuing with the bedrest. Could this have any negative effects of the baby's development? I hope to God this will not lead to a miscarriage.

Is everything ok? I read your post today and became concerned, like you, about the bleading. It hapened to me on my 4th pregnancy. It, the pregnancy, ended at 12 weeks. I havent compleatly recover emotionaly. But I'm again pregnant and happy about it. I'm 20 weeks, half way there. Hope you are doing well.

If your dr has checked you and found everything to be ok then I would trust him. But if you want a second opinion see another dr. You are still early enough in your pregnancy to have another dr check you and explain what is going on. But some women have spotting throughout their entire pregnancy and go on to have healthy babies and it's just something that happens to some women.
