Bleeding

Why does bleeding occur during pregnancy. Isn't that un-normal and not healthy? I'm just curious. It's not happening to me. I want to know what it means.

Bleeding isn't normal during pregnancy and could be a sign that something is going on but not necessarily lead to miscarriage. I started bleeding during my first pregnancy at 5 weeks worse than a period and bright red. It lasted for 5 weeks. It was for a subchorionic hematoma, where the egg didn't implant right on the uterine wall and it causes a cut behind the sac. Definitely not normal but after 5 weeks the bleeding stopped and the pregnancy continued like normal and now I have a very healthy and happy 4 year old!

Some women spot in early pregnancy (but not eveyone ) which is perfectly normal, Some might get the odd bit of brown bloody which is just your body getting rid of old blood, and others may bleed due to early signs of miscarriage, it all depends xx
