Bloody show without mucus??

Alright ladies, I'm 36 weeks today... this is the furthest I've ever made it!! My DD was born at 30 weeks DS at 36. I have been dialated to 2 and 80% for almost 2 weeks now. I have been contracting like crazy, but I've been going to NST's twice a week and Dr checks me both times and no changes in 2 weeks. Last night we had an INCREDIBLY stressful night. I had some very strong contractions and lower back pain but didn't think a whole lot of it cause I could sleep and like I said, I contract all the time. This morning though, I woke up and the second time I went to the bathroom there were small amounts of bright red blood on the TP. Could this be bloody show?? There was no mucus with it, although I think I have been losing my plug in small amounts (just with no blood). Could this mean that I have dialated more?? Should I call my Dr?? Its just that its a LONG drive to go get checked and I would have to pull my daughter out of school early etc... if this is nothing and I have an NST scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. I'm not really contracting this morning... hmmmmmm.... what to do????? Should I just wait a while and watch?? Baby is moving great and I don't have any complications like a previa or anything. And they also told me at this point (actually from 33 weeks 4 days on... when they took out my cerclage) that they wouldnt do anything to stop labor.
Any advice would be appreciated... Does spotting ALWAYS mean progression or that you need to be checked at this point?? or can I wait to see if it there is more throughout the day and contractions start???

yep signs of labor and I would just watch and ge ready casue it sounds like labor will start good with in the next day or so. COngrats you made it this far!!!! I have notmade it past 36 weeks yet and hoping to this time! Let us know have you had the nesting feeling yet? I noticed with my other 4 that it came early as my body thought I would deliver early that may be the case with you.

Honey you will know wheny ou are in aactive labor and that is when you should go! WHen you can not concentrate during contractions and they are getting stronger. During early labor you can concentrate even if they hurt bad and you will not be anxious like in active labor. THat wasy you know it is going to happen!!!

You are probably going into labor soon  :) I started bleeding like crazy the day before labor started! Call your dr. but I am sure he'll tell you to come tomorrow anyways!
