Breast shield?
How do you know what the right size is? I just got my medela freestyle today, it came with medium and large but I feel like both might be a bit too big. How should they fit? I don't think I can really use the pump to find out since I only have colostrum. I tried looking it up but didn't really get an answer.

Completely ignore my comments... Lol... I thought you were talking about an actual nipple shield! Sorry, I wish I could help/: mine came with my pump!
Well if you're using it to pump then it shouldn't matter but the nipple shield I bought (same brand) I used for breastfeeding and it said small and then (0-6 months)...
There is a chart online... I bought xsmall size off Amazon. They're not medela but fit the pump and me perfect! From my understanding it does not go by your baby but by your nipple. It should just cover the nipple and fit closely against it. Images online show how it should fit.
And you can pump with collostrum! They had me do it at the hospital since I have inverted nipples!
