Breastfeeding?

I'm due February 25, & I've been worrying about which ways are best & easiest for me to feed my bundle of joy when she gets here. Any of you ladies prefer breastfeeding? Does it hurt? Everyone that I know told me that it does. Please Help!!

I'm breast feeding now I love it its easy convient affordable ...its dosent hurt if done properly its more of a uncomfortable feeling at first wouldn't call it pain though but your body gets used to it quickly its true helps you lose alot of weight ..I just had my daughter 3 weeks ago and I already lost 30 pounds I recommend YouTube videos and reading about breastfeeding so you have alot of knowledge and you'll be more confident when the time comes to breastfeeding

I have heard that breast feeding is uncomfortable, but it is more beneficial to you and your baby (decreasing the risks of allergies and different diseases for baby, increases their intelligence -- although idk if that one is true or not -- and helps with bonding). And for mom it decreases the chances of getting ovarian cancer, diabetes and postpartum depression. Although, some women are unable to breast feed so they have no choice but to formula feed. The decision is up to you, ask your doctor, do some research and decide which one you like best.

I just weaned my 14 month old off of breastfeeding. The only restricting thing I found is unless you pump you are the only one that can do feedings.  I fed my daughter everywhere and anywhere. It is an awesome experience. The only difference is you don't have to get up and make a bottle.

good choiceon wanting to bf, formula doesn't even compete with ure breastmilk bcz bf is sooo much healthier.. yes it hurts at first but if u can take the pain it will go away after 2wks i ebf my baby for 15 mths until she self weaned n going to bf my baby #2. The bonding is awsome n some bonuses it comes with is its free, always perfect temp, u burn 500 calories a day just by bf, it has the perfect nutrition for ure baby. I say go for it n don't let ppl or nurses bully u into formula

Breastfeeding shouldn't hurt. I if it does it means a poor latch or something. At first its uncomfortable but it's what our bodies were made to do. I have ebf two of my children my first was born to early and couldn't latch and I couldn't pump Al that he needed to gain weight. It's a great experience but not for everyone. It's a big commitment to the baby. Also restricts you a little more. But if you think you can do it go for it. Formula feeding of course makes life easier. But only you can make the choice.

It hurts only the first 1-2 weeks cause your nipples r not used to all that sucking, you really have to overcome this time cause lots of moms quit because of that, I breastfed my first for 1 year and 3 months, and now I'm breastfeeding my 2 months old, I love to look at my baby during feedings cause he's so adorable sucking, I think breastfeeding is the best way to go, u have to try at least, it's free, its always ready and always warm :)

I breast fed. Yea it hurts for the first week but I HIGHLY recommend getting lanolin ... Total life saver. But honestly I dried up after 2 months and cried like a little b word, I loved breast feeding. The bonding experience that I got from it was absolutely amazing, it's better for your baby, it's free, you lose A TON of weight. I had my baby sleep with me at night and id just whip my tata out and he'd feed and id be back to sleep within less then a min, the only way I got any sleep. So if you can breast feed I highly recommend doing it
