Breathing Fire!!

Omg so I've had heartburn since around 22 weeks, I'm now 31+2..I've used tums, liquid antacid, and recently been taking zantac 150. That was working great for a week or two but once again it seems my body is becoming immune. I woke up this morning feeling like I could breathe fire and zantac didn't help at all. Any mamas got any tips or ideas to help relieve this? I'm miserable :(

I take Omeprazole. I get mine through RX but you can get them OTC at Walmart or your Pharmacy, I take 40mg daily it works wonders! I originally started taking it before I got pregnant because I have a hiatal hernia and acid reflux and it was horrible now being pregnant its worse but this stuff is amazing and safe throughout all stages of pregnancy. talk to your dr about getting it through a rx its cheaper that way then otc hope this helps feel better!

no problem haha. im lucky i love milk so i drink loads of it. my family keeps making comments about buying a cow. chocolate milk and any milkshakes help too. and none-citrus flavoured yoghuts. also if there is any sweets that have bicarbonate soda in. in the uk we have love hearts and refreshers. they taste good and settle heart burn too :)

Mine was so bad last night that I sent my boyfriend out for vanilla icecream at 2am. Surprisingly it worked and I was able to go right to sleep!

Ariel I hate milk too but I'm bouta go try that right now..I'll let y'all know how that goes.. And kimmie that's hilarious, I needed that laugh; I really woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning

I've pretty much been drinking gaviscon advanced when its really bad. And loads of milk all the time. I keep telling my husband I can breathe fire and he keeps asking for a picture so I might draw some fire and take a picture just to make it slightly amusing

Have you tired milk? Tums don't work for me and milk does. Milk is nasty to me but I just drink it all in one. So I wont have to taste it till the end. Lol
