C Section Moms

Any one had a c section that can share their experience? I'm having one for medical reasons and I am TERRIFIED.

Hello! Yes, I've had one! It wasn't that horrible. I went in to have my labor induced at 12am Tuesday Sept 16 2008... Because of complications I had to have an emergency CSection.. I can't remember the time that I  had to get the epidural but I remember them coming in to tell me that I wasn't dilating past 6cm. I asked them to let me try and they did but advised me that if I didn't open up any more they were going to have to take him. So, I waited, nurse came in to check me.. Nothing had changed. So boom had to get the emergency csection.. After I got the epidural everything seemed to just happen so fast, they wheeled me into surgery, and boom big healthy baby boy came out.. Oh and they talk you through everything so you'll know whats going on as well as they have it set up to where you can't see them cutting you.. Well at least it was that way for me. At 434pm my handsome son was born and the csection wasn't all that bad! With this one.. I'm thinking about having another csection..

I went in to get induced originally. Went through 17 hours of labor. Got my epidural at 530 pm and they decided at 6 I needed to have an emergency c-section. Had my son at 642 pm.  I was in the hospital from monday at 1am to wednesday around 1. I recommend to stay as long as you can. I left to soon and hurt because I wanted to leave before I was ready. Make sure you take your pain medication and dont push your self to hard. Little fyi it hurts to cough or sneeze after. And make sure to always keep your incision clean. Prevents infection!  Good luck. Im having another one may 15 unless she comes sooner

Its not bad! I had 2 vag births and a c sec. As with any surgery there is pain but its kept under control with pain meds. Key is get up asap don't wait a whole DAT. It will hurt but the faster you get up the faster you heal! I heard horror stories and I did not think it was bad at all. All surgery hurts and you just know that going in. They will push on your belly after to get your uterus to contract that's normal. Get a binder it helps a lot with discomfort. Wear if for the first few weeks.
