Can someone tell me if this is normal??

Ok this is probably too much info, but i was wondering if anyone else knew if this was normal at my stage in pregnancy or if they have had this happen to them.

I found out what i was having about 4 days ago but for the past 3 days i have been leaking clear fluid out of my vaginal area. It's not colored and there is no smell, it literally looks like water. It isn;'t gushing out of me, just little drops and it is agitating because i have to wear a pad, or it is looks liek I peed all ove rmy self after a while. Like i said it isn't gushing but after so long it is enough that it is noituceable if you understand what I am saying. I'm not sure how to explain it!  I am in my 20th or 21st week, depending on how you count it and was just wpndering if anyone else has experienced this. Thank for any help ladies!!!

I'm glad you posted something on this - the exact same thing is happening to me! Mine isn't so much to where I have to wear a pad all the time but I have to wear a panty liner. I go to my doctor on the 6th. I'll call him today and ask him if he wants me to come in earlier.

In addition to keeping your fluid intake up, keep your activity down.  Try to stay away from salty foods and do fetal kick counts every so often.  This was you ensure your putting in enough fluid to replace what's lost (it in fact it is  a leak), reduced activity will keep you from leaking AS much, salty foods will only make your body retain water not do what its supposed to do. The fetal kick counts will just help to give you peace of mind that everything is ok.  So long as you are feeling the baby like you normally do you won't need to do them, but if you get to wondering just do the fetal kick counts.

If at ANY time you feel that something isn't right, don't hold off...go to the ER.  Fortunately you are military and you don't have to worry about insurance or anything else.

Oh ok...so you're the one in Okinawa. I read another post about you earlier. Man that is crazy. Well I REALLY hope everything is ok. But if you're in any doubt just get that approval and go the dr.....you're baby is more important than anything right now....Goodluck!!!

hmm...could have been. I hate to say it...but there maybe only one thing you can do to prevent it and that's staying off your fee.

I wonder if that was what was wrong with my first preg.  My doctor never said anything about but when my son was born he was called a dry baby.  He was dried up looking.

I'm telling you girl...that's what happened to me. i went to the bathroom and stopped peeing but the liquid still kept coming out...(same thing happened to my cousin who was three weeks ahead of me) and it was amniotic fluid. If that is it you really need to go to the ER because there is a risk of infection. I mean I'm not saying that's def it but I would rather be safe than sorry....I'm not trying to scare you. I'm just being totally honest...I hope this helps....

When I was preg with my first child the same thing happened to me and it was actually amniotic fluid leaking which put me into early labor....you need to get it checked asap. Call your nurse. I was only 36 weeks a long. If your bag is leaking you don't want to risk an infection getting to the little one...just be careful.....

I have the exact same thing. I am 30 weeks pregnant and it has been happening to me since I was about 16 weeks pregnant. It has not stopped. I have to wear pads everyday and it is very irritating. It usually leaks out as soon as I get out of bed in the morning and start walking around. That is when it is worse for me. But yes, It is very normal, nothing to be worried about :)

It could be a few things, You could infact have a leak in your bag of waters, or you may just be peeing yourself, I know it sounds horrible, but its 100% normal. I remember having the same issue, and I called my OB who told me to come n and have the fluid tested. It wasnt my amniotic fluis it was urine lol.

If it bothers you that much or gets worse Id call the OB.

Hope all is well!

are you sure that it is coming from that area or you are really leaking on yourself, pee wise.  I have been doing the same thing for about 19 weeks, and I have to wear pads too, or it looks like I pee'd too.  it is clear, but when I sneeze, bend over, cough, over even after I pee, I stand up walk a bit and it seems to be there.. AND IT SUCKS.. but the joy of being pg.. you can tell your doctor too and he can do a little test with a swab and tell you what it is..
